What has Holly accomplished while serving the citizens of Stafford County
Created School Board Finance and Budget Committee - Pushed for creation of a finance and budget committee for the School Board – none existed prior to her service – this committee was approved as a standing committee in 2014 and is critical to the budget process and transparency
Chaired Stafford Planning Commission Committee to update and revise Stafford Comprehensive Plan – plan was 15 years out of date
In 2020, Holly advocated and helped draft a Code of Conduct for Teachers – which previously did not exist – only code of conduct for students, athletes and parents
Served as local counsel to community group Towering Concerns that successfully advocated for Dominion Virginia Power to underground power lines that otherwise would have created an eyesore for the community and homeowners
Chaired over several contentious re-districting efforts, she ensured community input by holding open forums for citizens to express their opinions prior to making these difficult decisions
Mentors young women as a member of the youth leadership team at her church and teaches Sunday School for high school students
Opposed policies designed to allow use of bathrooms and locker rooms for students with differing biological features – continues to oppose the expansion of sport teams for those with differing biological features
Has lobbied in Richmond for the increased use of Security Resources Officers in our schools to protect ALL of our children and will continue to support our law enforcement officers and keep the tools necessary to protect our community
Has been elected by her peers to be School Board Chairman for 4 of her 9 years on the School Board
Served on the Head Start Policy Council for 3-4 years
Served as a team captain for the Leukemia Cup Regatta, raising funds for the critical research to defeat blood cancers in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Serves as an officer in her Home Owners Association and the Quantico Yacht Club
Has served as an active school volunteer, PTO member, Officer and President
Volunteered on her churches building committee to build a new ministry center. This facility expanded the number of classrooms available to the church in support of a variety of ministry activities such as the Boy Scouts of America and a pre-school.
